You are Loved

I adore my daughter and granddaughter! I love this picture of them together. It's simply beautiful. When I found sketch 104 at Let's Capture Our Memories I knew I wanted to use it for this picture.

I took the sketch and turned it upside down. Other than that I kept pretty true to it. I liked the simplicity, and I love Laura Whitaker's work. I used my new kit, Hey Girl, from
Noel Mignon for this page. I'm loving this kit!

I splattered Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Primrose on the page. It gives just a hint of color without being overwhelming.

I used foam Thickers to create the title on this page. The set had these great hearts. For this set of hearts I cut one so it connected with the other. It turned out cute.

I love these Thickers!

Thank you for looking over my page. Pleased leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Santa Baby

I'm pretty sure I have the cutest grandbaby ever. She's just adorable. Last year at Christmas time she was four months old and just starting to sit up in her own. She was adorable (still is!).

I used the Cable Knit kit from Noel Mignon for this layout. I love the colors!

I wouldn't normally mix red and pink together, but they worked perfect with the paper.

I love alphas. I'm kinda addicted to them. I was able to use three different alphas in this layout. I love the candy cane striped Thickers!

This face is just adorable. I love this set of photos.

Thanks for taking a look at my layout. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Merry Christmas

I love Christmas! It means family time, which means more to me than anything. Last year was my granddaughter's first Christmas which made it that much more precious. I was thrilled to get this family photo and excited to scrap it.

I used sketch #421 from Scrapbook Challenges for this layout.

I love my kids! I also love my son in law and granddaughter. It's awesome to be able to get them all in one LO.

These shiny Thickers make me happy!

I used my Cable Knit kit from Noel ?Mignon for this page. I love the colors!

Thanks for looking over my layout. Please let me know your thoughts. Merry Christmas!

Making Memories

I've been working my way through my older Christmas photos. This set of pictures are from our annual Christmas tree decorating in 2011.

I used my Noel Mignon Cable Knit kit for this layout. I love the non traditional colors. I used the Week 4 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for this layout.

I've only recently started using gold in my layouts instead of silver. I like the way it accents the Christmas papers.

I added the gold star sequins to go with the tree topper.

This word is made from chipboard. I inked it with gold ink, then used a Versa Mark stamp before applying extra thick embossing powder. I love the way it turned out!

Please let me know your thoughts on my layout. Happy Holidays!

Stage Fright

These pictures have a fun, personal story with them. Not everyone would get the importance of the photos just looking at them, but that's why Scrappers scrap family memories. This is a set of photos that the journaling is so important. I managed to hide my journaling. I needed a large space because the story is pretty long. Can you see where it is?

Well, it's behind this photo....

When you flip the photo the story is right there.

Here's the story up close:

I love these shiny Thickers!

I used some silver Mr. Huey's spray on some would veneer arrows to point to a few important things, like my son pointing at the "audience" with his thumb.

I searched my stash for some music paper and finally found one sheet!

I used my Noel Mignon Cable Knit kit for this layout. I love her kits! I also used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches . So much fun!

Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. Happy Holidays!

Christmas Elf

I have been waiting to reveal this layout for about a month. I love this layout! It makes me happy just looking at it. Let's Get Sketchy had a challenge for layouts to be included in a special holiday edition of their digital inspiration page called Get Inspired and mine was chosen to be included! What an honor.

I used Teresa Collins' Candy Cane Lane collection for this layout. I love everything Christmas, and I really love this collection!

Here was the original sketch. Isn't it great? I love Laura Whitaker's work.

These Thickers are yummy! They didn't come with the collection, but I had to use them! I used paint to create the circles in the background. I rimmed the edge of a cup and stamped the paint on the background. I really liked when it splattered on the page.

I used two pictures and cute them down so they only focused on my little elf. I love his sweet little face!

I used sequins and snowflake sequins to embellish thus layout. They made it so much fun!

Thank you for checking out my page. Don't forget to visit Let's Get Sketchy to see all the inspiration. Happy Holidays!

First Christmas

I absolutely love any pictures of my granddaughter, Meila. Match them with Christmas and I'm all gooey inside! I love them! These pictures made me happy as soon as I saw them. I just had to find the right sketch for them.

To create this layout I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches . Since Meila was looking to the right I flipped the sketch. I don't like the subjects to be looking off the page....just a bit of a pet peeve.

I used do paints to create the open circles around the page. I really liked when the paint splattered on then apace a bit. I also inked the edges of all the paper, and used a white Signo pen to doodle.

I played on the circles all over the page.

The alphas took me awhile to figure out. I knew I wanted two kinds of alphas, but it took me some time to find the right ones. I love the way it turned out!

I hope you enjoy my page. Please let me know your thoughts. Merry Christmas!

Christmas Wreath

I'm having so much fun working in Christmas layouts! I've been using the Cable Knit kit from Noel Mignon, and having a great time. This layout is a simple page about my Christmas wreath. I loved that wreath! My son isn't too excited about this page because it isn't about people, but the page makes me happy.

I didn't use a sketch gir this layout. It just kind of happened organically. I love when that happens.

I just kept adding embellishments until I was happy with the look. I sprayed the wood veneer shapes with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Bronzer. I love the stars on my porch wall, so I added wood and sequin stars to the page.

Isn't that a pretty wreath? I love all the layers under this picture.

I love that big, white button! And the quote card just needed to be on this page.

I hope you enjoyed my page. Please leave me some love and let me know what you think. Merry Christmas!

Joy

It's been a long time since I've posted anything to my blog. It's been nearly a month since I had a chance to scrap. The life of a teacher in December is very busy! But, it's finally break time, and now I get to scrap. Yay!

These layouts were done for a friend. The two girls are her granddaughters, Ella and Finley. She had their pictures taken for Christmas and they turned out beautifully. They needed to be scrapped. The layouts will be gifts for her daughter for Christmas. How fun!

I used to same sketch from Let's Capture Our Memories for both layouts. I just turned one over so they would make beautiful wall hangings.

I used my December kit from Noel Mignon for these layouts. I love Christmas papers!!

The gold accents worked beautifully with the pictures.

Gold and red, sunsets and kids. How can you go wrong?

The gold ribbon is sparkly. I added some Mr. Huey's gold spray as well. The shimmer makes me happy.

The red letters a have been in my stash for awhile now. I was waiting for the perfect pages to use them. I adore them on these pages!

Thanks for taking a look at my latest layouts. Please let me know your thoughts. Happy scrapping!

Happy Girls are the Prettiest

I admit it...I think my daughter is beautiful! I'm not sure exactly where she got all that beauty, but she has it in spades. I just couldn't resist scrapping this picture of her with her gorgeous smile.

I used Teresa Collin's Urban Market line for this layout. I love the colors! I also used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches, but I turned it sideways so I could use this picture effectively.

I used two different Thickers for this big title.

I really like the colors in this line. They complimented the picture of my daughter nicely.

I adore using multiple patterns together!

I hope you enjoyed my LO. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Love Your Smile

My granddaughter's smile makes me so happy! I absolutely love these pictures.

I used my Noel Mignon kit, Tea for Two, to create this LO. I'm not normally a gold person, but I loved the gold for this project. I also used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches .

I cut these little butterflies with a punch out of one of th papers in the kit. I pop dotted the wings to give them some depth. I love these big sequins! They add just the right touch.

I also added some cork butterflies to go with the gold ones.

I used Straw colored Stickles to create the circle behind the photos. The words Love and Smile were corrugated paper. I stamped them with a Versamark stamp and sprinkled them with Ranger Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. After melting it with my heat gun it gave the words a nice thick gloss, and deepened the color.

I hope you enjoyed my LO. Please leave me some blog love and let me know your thoughts.

Sweet Perfection

I adore my granddaughter! She's just adorable. This is a picture from earlier in the year, so of course she's much bigger now, but she's still adorable.

I created this LO using Noel Mignon's Two for Tea kit, along with some other things in my stash.

This sweet little face gives me such inspiration. This picture had to have soft, girly colors. I used the teal and pink from the photo and added splashes of it over the LO. These Queen & Company felt flowers were too cute not to use them.

I recently bought some silver Mr. Huey's mist. I used it to spray the doily and spray around the background. I'm loving it! I added bits of silver with this metal heart and some My Mind's Eye rub-ons. This Jillibean title card has been in my stash for awhile.

I used a sketch from ScrapMuch? To create this LO. I love all the opportunities for layers!

Thank you for taking a look at my LO. Please leave me some love and let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
