Measuring Up!

I love these pictures of my kids. My daughter was game for standing at the bear poster to be measure, but my son wasn't so happy about it. The look on his face is priceless.

I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for this layout (Let's Get Sketchy).

I was a bit nervous about the photo layout, but everything went together really quickly.
I used my latest Noel Mignon kit, Social Butterfly. I'm loving this kit! I adore the striped paper! The backside had the circles that I also love! I fussy cut some if the circles to use as accents. Lots of fun!

A Day @ the Zoo

We try to go to the zoo at least once every summer. I tend to take hundreds of pictures. It's one of the few times I have my camera on me all day and we're all together. I love when I get a chance to scrap them. These pictures were from our trio to the Oregon Zoo in July of 2011. Hmmmm...I think I need to scrap faster!

I made this layout using sketch #74 from My Scraps and More (My Scraps & More).

I loved using this layout! I substituted banners for the arrows; I adore banners! I was also able to use my new kit Social Butterfly from Noel Mignon (Noel Mignon). I love all the bright colors. I'll definitely use this sketch again, and I'm looking forward to lots of layouts with this kit.

Our Beautiful Boy

I loved making this layout. I love this picture of my son! It was fun to make a boy layout with a bit of sparkle and fun embellishments, but still keep it looking like a boy page.

I used scraps for this layout for a challenge through Lasting Memories Layout Challenges (Lasting Memories Scraps Challenge). I love getting to use up some of my scraps. I also was able to make some handmade embellishments using good, old-fashioned shrinky dinks. I found a FB post for a link to make buttons with the material, and fell in love! (Shrink Plastic Embellishments). On this page I used four of my own creations. I will definitely be using these on more layouts!

What a Pair!

I love pictures of my kids, especially when they are together. I had lots of fun making this layout. Lots of layers, ink, machine sewing, flowers, buttons....so much fun!

I used green in this layout for a few reasons. One, because I love the green chevron paper! Two, because of the green accents behind the kids in the photo. And three, because Lasting Memories had a challenge to use green (LM #182 - http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com ). I really love all the green accents I was able to use - the buttons, the leaves, the wood grain paper. So many pretty things.

I also created this layout using a sketch from My Scraps and More (http://myscrapsandmoresketches.blogspot.com). I love the circle in the background.

What a great sketch, huh? It's so much fun to play when you have great inspiration!

June Flowers

It's unusual for me to scrap about anything other than my family, but I love my garden and my flowers. I love that my backyard is full of beautiful blooms each year. What a treat! So, taking pictures of them makes me happy too. This way I get to enjoy my lovely June flowers on a cold and rainy March night.

I created this particular layout to fulfill several layout challenges. The first challenge was a 'Spring Flowers' challenge on a Facebook group I'm in. The second was for a sketch challenge from My Scraps and More (http://myscrapsandmoresketches.blogspot.com). And the third was for a colour challenge from kreative koncepts (http://goo.gl/8HeeIA). I love to be able to create one layout for so many challenges.

Super Boy

I had a ton of fun with this layout! I adore scrapping pictures of my little man. These pictures of him dressed up and ready to fight with his wooden spoon are priceless to me. I used sketch #72 from
http://myscrapsandmoresketches.blogspot.com . I love banners, so I was immediately drawn to it. But, two banners just weren't enough. So, I added more to fit my style. I also got to use some new flair I just bought, along with some plastic stars. So much fun!

Sleeping Beauty

I'm in love with this layout. I mean, I LOVE it! This was a beautiful picture of my sweet little granddaughter, Meila, and I wanted to do it justice. I found two layout challenges I wanted to participate in, and I was able to make this layout for both of them. So much fun!

The first challenge came from Let's Get Sketchy http://goo.gl/aHmPXH .

The second challenge was from Lasting Memories Layout Challenges http://goo.gl/TVrHje . I loved playing with the sketch and using flowers to add to it. Lots of fun, and so pretty!

Mustache Boy

I love, love, love this page! I've had so much fun playing with this Teresa Collins 'He Said' kit. This picture of my son with a sticky mustache on his face has been in my photo box for awhile, just waiting for the right papers to compliment it. I love all the mustache accents - the paper, the stamp, the sticky note. So much fun! I found the black Thickers at JoAnns while I was there the other day, and now I'm thrilled I didn't have the will power to walk away without them. :) The accents of orange, red, and turquoise make me happy! And, my sweet little boy makes the layout that much better.

1st Grade Pictures

I've been waiting for this Teresa Collins 'He Said' kit for awhile. I found it on www.craftysteals.com and it really was a steal! It's full of awesome 'boy' papers! I used a sketch from www.pagemaps.com to create this adorable layout. I stitched on this layout using my sewing machine and turquoise thread. I used three different alphas on the page (I'm a bit obsessed with alpha stickers!). I also created this adorable banner to add to the layout. Very fun!

My Little Water Boy

I created this sketch of my adorable son using a sketch challenge from Scrapbook Generation (http://www.scrapbookgeneration.com) and my March kit, The Wishing Well, from Noel Mignon (http://noelmignon.webvanta.com). I've struggled with this month's kit because it's full of gold accents, and I'm just not a gold kind of person. I wanted the papers to enhance the picture of my son watering our spring flowers, not detract from it. I love the combination I managed to put together. The gold triangles added to the falling water look. The gold Thickers matched the triangles perfectly. Overall, I'm really happy with this layout, and I Love the picture of my little helper!

Winter Time Fun

I created this two-page layout using a sketch from Scrapbook Generation (Like them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/scrapbookgeneration?ref=ts&fref=ts). I also used papers from Noel Mignon's March kit, The Wishing Well ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/NoelMignoncom/166005068931?ref=ts&fref=ts). I loved the reds the moment I saw them and knew I'd be using them with these pictures of our family time on a winter day. The reds mimic the red of our house. I love it! I also used wood veneer snowflakes that I picked up at Michael's Craft-store. I painted them with silver and white paint dabbers. The letters in the word "Winter" are ghost letters that I again painted with the dabbers. This layout was labor intensive, but so much fun!

Sitting Pretty

I created this page using sketch #70 from http://myscrapsandmoresketches.blogspot.com. I'm loving their sketches!

This sketch gave me the opportunity to use up the rest of my February kit from www.noelmignon.com. I loved that kit! So many adorable girl colors, which made it perfect for these cute pictures of my granddaughter, Meila. I moved the title to the top of the page because I wanted to fill the open space, and the letters were on the large side. The hearts were just perfect to go with this page featuring this little girl that I love so much.
