Lego KidsFest

Good morning everyone! Today I'm revealing my layout for this month's challenge on ScrapStuffz "Inspired by" Challenges

This month we changed things up a bit and we have a wonderful sketch to work with.

Stacia also challenged the Design Team members to use one of her awesome cuts from her shop, ScrapStuffz. After looking through all her cuts I found this Lego KidsFest one she made and knew it would be perfect! Stacia makes these all herself, and can design just about anything you need. And, they are beautifully done. I was so excited when I got my piece to play with.

Look at all those Legos! We had so much fun playing at Lego KidsFest.

See how awesome the die cut is!?! I love it! Instead of the honeycomb in the sketch I used scraps of Lego paper I had in my stash. I cut out the individual bricks and used them around the layout. So much fun!

You still have a few days left to enter this challenge (enter by August 31st), so head on over and get started! The sketch us so much fun to play with. You will also need to include a die cut; either one of Stacia's or one that you create or have. It's time to pull out those cutting machines!

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on my layout.

The Blue Cast

Good morning! Today I'm revealing my Design Team layout for the August Challenge for Three or More. This is our second challenge, and it's a fun one! The challenge? Use pockets on your layout. I chose to create my own pockets. I created "Shaker Pockets" using Polaroid frames and acetate. I filled them with seed beads, sequins, wood veneers, and other scrappy goodies. I had a lot of fun making them!

The pictures I chose to use are from 2003. My daughter is now nearly 20. I love looking through my old photos. I remember the story like it was yesterday. I love the details the journaling added to my page.

My daughter was such a crazy little kid. I love her goofiness.

Of course the word "blue" had to be in blue Thickers. I love using multiple types of alphas on my pages.

These little pockets were so much fun to make. I had to stop myself at two!

See all the cute things you can add to these pockets?

The August Challenge goes on until the end of August. Don't forget to head on over and take on the challenge yourself. I can't wait to see what you create!
